Lora Lakanal

Yoga Instructor

Lora is a 500 RYT and Integrative Somatic Practitioner. After falling in love with the practice of yoga, she began her teacher training journey in 2013, while living in Philadelphia. Lora quickly became fascinated with the way yoga helps connect oneself to their own inner wisdom and healing. Her ongoing studies are all geared towards strengthening this connection. Her hope is to help individuals find their home-coming back to themselves, as well as uncover a greater sense of balance in their unique nervous system.

What classes do you teach at Studio Bamboo?

Warm Vinyasa

How would you describe your teaching style?

A balance of both hatha and slow vinyasa (stillness and slow flow) with a strong emphasis on connecting to the body. Expect to leave feeling open and balanced.

What type of student would benefit from your classes?

All students :)

What does yoga mean to you?

To me, yoga means connection and it allows a deepening of the connection of one's mind to one's body/ heart. I believe that when we deepen our connection to ourselves, this creates a ripple effect allowing us to connect deeper with others.

What is your favorite asana and why?

My current favorite pose is camel pose because it challenges me to keep my heart open.
