Jessica Ruff

Yoga Instructor

Jessica Ruff teaches an empowering, dynamic yoga practice that invites personal inquiry while cultivating functional strength and mindfulness on the mat. Expect more than just poses on the mat as the process of self-inquiry is the foundation of the practice.

Jessica first discovered yoga as a runner in her late 20s. She completed her first 200-hour teacher training in 2013 and began teaching in 2014. Her primary teachers are Jason Crandell and Annie Carpenter having completed Jason's 300-hour Advanced Teacher Training in 2021 and Annie’s Advanced SmartFLOW Teacher Training in 2026. She also became SmartFLOW certified in 2026. Jessica continues to study with both Annie and Jason. Outside of yoga, Jessica has a BA in Psychology and an MBA. She spent over ten years in corporate marketing before pivoting in 2018 to fully invest herself in yoga.

How would you describe your teaching style?

Inclusive, alignment-based vinyasa with a soulful touch.

What type of student would benefit from your classes?

Anyone who seeks answers to the eternal questions, who am I and why am I here?

What does yoga mean to you?

Yoga is simply coming home. It is the path that leads me back to who I truly am.

What is your favorite asana and why?

Trikonasana (Triangle pose) is my favorite pose because it encourages a beautiful expansion of the self. In a world that tells us to be small, Trikonasana lets us expand, radiate outward, and take up space.
