Friday Night Jai!

Join us for an evening of yoga led by Monica with live music by PranaMuktiBhakti! This intermediate, multi-level class will be a fun, playful, and energetic practice. We will experience standing and seated poses. Maybe you're game for an arm balance here and there and an option to turn your world upside down. Then we will take it to the floor and end our time together with a wonderful opportunity for rest. Class will be followed by a 15 minute Kirtan (devotional chanting) led by PranaMuktiBhakti.

PranaMuktiBhakti is based out of South Eastern Virginia, and has been offering kirtan within their community and beyond since 2015. Kirtan is a practice of Bhakti, the Yoga of devotion, where attendees are invited to chant sacred Sanskrit and English mantras to celebrate the Divine in its infinite forms! All three members of the band take turns leading chants while the others harmonize. Neleh Poletsky plays ukulele, harmonium and rhythm instruments. Kim McCoy plays bass and harmonium. Liz Sanderson plays hand drums, harmonium and rhythm instruments. Together they create a unique sound that inspires Divine connection and praise!

A Taste of OM: An Ayurveda Inspired Experience with Jodi

A Taste of OM is a journey into this “sister science” of yoga. First, we will experience food that helps align our chakras. While eating, we will explore a brief history of Ayurveda and learn about the doshas, the three energies that define every person's makeup. After filling our bellies, we will dive deeper into the history of medicine and explore alternatives to common over the counter medicines. Our time together will end with pranayama and a guided meditation session. All are welcome…come with an open heart and mind. All attendees will receive a journal, recipes to take home, resources to further their journey, and a small gift.

Balls & Breathwork with Brier: Part IV

Balls and Breathwork is back, and this time as a four part series.

Part IV - The Core: diaphragm, torso, breath reset

“At the center of your being, you have the answer. You know who you are, and you know what you want.” -Lao Tzu

And in the end, we realize we are right back to where we started — back to your central axis. This week the focus is on your powerful core. Through experiential practice students will learn about the three major diaphragms in the body, the full spectrum of abdominal muscles that make up your core, and its connection to your hips, breath and nervous system. You’ll realize the true freedom of breath once you learn to release your respiratory diaphragm and free the psoas muscle deep in your core.

“A mobile core is a source of enormous power and vitality, but you can tap into this source only through direct experience.” -Donna Farhi

    Galentine's Cacao Ceremony (3).png

Cacao Ceremony with Jade and Bailey

Join Jade and her dear friend Bailey for a heartwarming cacao ceremony. Let the enchanting blend of Colombian ceremonial cacao and the power of movement, meditation, breath work, and journaling take you on a deep heart-opening experience.

What is a cacao ceremony? A cacao ceremony is a heart opening experience involving the consumption of ceremonial-grade cacao, prepared as a warm beverage. Participants gather to drink cacao with specific intentions. The ceremony often includes meditation, breathwork, reflection, and sharing circles to promote self-discovery, emotional release, and inner transformation. Rooted in Mesoamerican cultures, cacao ceremonies have gained contemporary popularity as a means of personal growth and healing, offering a sacred space for connection with oneself, others, and the spiritual realm. What is cacao? Cacao is a plant native to Central and South America known for its seeds, which are used to produce cocoa and chocolate. The seeds are harvested from cacao pods, fermented, dried, roasted, and then processed to create various chocolate products. Cacao is also used in ceremonial and spiritual practices, where pure, minimally processed cacao is consumed in the form of a warm beverage, known as ceremonial-grade cacao, to facilitate introspection, connection, and heart-opening experiences. It is distinct from the highly processed chocolate found in everyday confectionery and is revered for its potential health benefits and symbolic significance.
