Go home feeling stronger, calmer and more in touch with your growing family circle.

Join Ann Richardson Stevens at our beautiful Studio Bamboo Institute of Yoga Chesapeake location, and discover the magical effect of opening restricted areas of the feet and hands to feel spaces that life up and extend the entire body, creating a sense of buoyancy when you walk. Find improved stability while feeling the support of the ground while learning how to receive the freedom that flows from the Earth.

Down dog is one of the most widely recognized yoga postures, but it’s also a complicated one. Down dog works the whole body, and can build strength, increase flexibility, relieve back pain, and bring all the benefits of an inversion. It also can be a huge source of frustration to many beginners. If you want to be able to do downward-facing dog comfortably—without hurting yourself or cursing at your yoga teacher—you need to first strengthen and open up several areas of the body, including your back, neck, shoulders, arms, wrists, legs, etc. Join us March 11 at Studio Bamboo Institute of Yoga Chesapeake for A Yogi & Their Downdog Workshop. Cost:$30.00

In Chesapeake, Ginny's Foundational class on Tuesday mornings from 9:30 to 10:45 is a great way to ground for the day! She would like any practitioners to know: There is no hard posture, only stages. You can find and should find ease and steadiness in every stage and every posture. I love teaching like that and it changes the whole class perspective. #studiobambooyoga #meetchesapeakeyoga #hamptonroadsyoga #yoga #yogastudio #yogaforeverybody

Adho mukha svanasana. What a mouthful. Even the English translation, downward-facing dog, is a lot to say.
