Events & Workshops Refund Policy

All workshops are based upon registration. In order for a workshop to take place, there must be a minimum number of participants registered. This number is different from workshop to workshop; this is why we ask that you pre-register.

Space will not be held for any workshop without payment. Cancellations requested after payment has been made are eligible for a refund less a 15% administrative fee. Cancellations requested 7 days prior to the day before the event are eligible for a 50% refund. Cancellations requested within 24 hours of an event will NOT be granted a refund. Reserved space is NON-TRANSFERABLE. A waiting list will be established if a workshop sells out, and space will be filled from the top of said list. If Studio Bamboo cancels a workshop or an event a 100% refund will be honored.

Balls & Breathwork with Brier: Part III

Balls and Breathwork is back, and this time as a four part series. Part III - The Upper Body: hands, arms, elbows, & shoulders.

Moving up the chain in the third week and now targeting the entire upper body. Students will focus on their hands, arms and shoulder girdle. Healthy shoulder flossing is on the menu. You’ll revisit similar areas from the upper back with more emphasis on the rotator cuff groups. Releasing, rehydrating and rinsing the entire arms, giving your forearms, wrists and hands the attention they deserve. Due to the repetitive nature of our daily lives and living with cell phones, computers and televisions, our upper body bears the burden of holding onto tension. This class will alleviate stuck stress and empower you to cultivate your own self-care routine.

Makie Yoga Accessible: An Adaptive Yoga Teacher Training with Ann Stevens

An adaptive yoga framework empowers students and teachers to perceive their bodies with more openness and compassion. It offers multiple pose variations- ones not usually taught in traditional yoga teacher trainings. Every student can find a space where they feel at home in their practice. The training encompasses both physical and psychological manifestations of pain and/or trauma. Instructors naturally become more empathetic towards students as they begin to understand how intimately connected the brain and body truly are. Yoga is a practice that can be made accessible to all.

Balls & Breathwork with Brier: Part IV

Balls and Breathwork is back, and this time as a four part series.

Part IV - The Core: diaphragm, torso, breath reset

“At the center of your being, you have the answer. You know who you are, and you know what you want.” -Lao Tzu

And in the end, we realize we are right back to where we started — back to your central axis. This week the focus is on your powerful core. Through experiential practice students will learn about the three major diaphragms in the body, the full spectrum of abdominal muscles that make up your core, and its connection to your hips, breath and nervous system. You’ll realize the true freedom of breath once you learn to release your respiratory diaphragm and free the psoas muscle deep in your core.

“A mobile core is a source of enormous power and vitality, but you can tap into this source only through direct experience.” -Donna Farhi
