Andrea took her first yoga class at a Jack LaLanne gym in Queens, New York in 1971 and has loved it ever since. Since 1973 She has been a Registered Nurse and holds a specialty board certification in Gerontology. Besides yoga she loves to sail and has been fortunate to sail in two of the most beautiful places in the world, the British Virgin Islands and Tahiti.

RYT 200 Hour from the Asheville Yoga Center. Has additional training in working with seniors and adaptive yoga. Andrea believes yoga is for everyone and has been honored to work with senior students up to the age of 100.
My favorite poses are warrior 2 because it reminds me we are all powerful in different ways and Tree Pose because balance is so important in life.
Andrea instructs the following:
A slower paced class designed to relieve stiff muscles & joints through movement. Warm ups, gentle asana, breath work , balance, and stretches. Suitable for anyone who wants to reduce stress through movement and relaxation or those who suffer from joint issues/arthritis.
