I served in the Navy for 23 years as a Nuclear qualified welder where I read many blueprints while conducting shipboard and submarine nuclear repairs. I started practicing yoga in 2011 at Studio Bamboo where I continue to learn how to engineer yoga postures.

Teaching Style:

I am a yoga engineer. I see you as a skeletal blueprint on your mat. I offer safe and sound verbals cues where you find self adjustments for safe expressions of your yoga poses. I provide time to find the pose, find stability, and to find your breath.

-500 HR certified Yoga Instructor with Studio Bamboo Institute of Yoga
-100 HR certified Therapist with Mindful Yoga Therapy
-Trained in: Pre-Natal, Yin Yoga, Gentle/Restorative Yoga, and Adaptive Yoga

Favorite Asana:  

Vishvamitrasana is Sanskrit for Friend of the Universe pose and for me this further translates to yoga buddy because every body is my yoga buddy. Vishvamitra was a king who overcame many challenges in his life, and had a habit of having to start over a few times. He had both great compassion and a wicked temper. He'd rise up and gain spiritual power, then get angry and things would fall apart. Sound familiar to anyone?

    Please Note: Due to the high volume of students, pre-registration is encouraged to reserve your spot in class.
